DNX v3 polls every UPS in your estate over SNMP and shows it on one live screen — load, battery, runtime, voltages, temperature and alarms — grouped by room, with parallel systems and their redundancy computed correctly. It runs on your own Windows Server. No cloud, no internet, no data leaving your building.

What DNX actually does
A UPS protects everything you own. Until something goes wrong, nobody looks at it — and by then the battery has been degraded for months, or a unit has been silently running on bypass. DNX turns that estate into one screen that is always telling the truth.
Sees every unit, every three seconds
Operational state and electrical readings are polled on a three-second cadence by default. A device is declared offline only after three consecutive failed polls, so a single lost packet never raises a false alarm.
Organised the way your site is
Group units into rooms — server room, electrical room, branch — and the dashboard opens on a grid of those rooms with the health of each. One click drills into a room; another switches to a flat view of every unit in a given condition.
Understands parallel systems
Several units carrying one load are treated as one system. DNX computes installed capacity, current load, spare capacity, system load percentage and phase imbalance, and reports three separate facts: members available, load supported, redundancy available or lost.
Tells you what it does not know
If a UPS does not report a value, DNX prints “Not supported” — never a zero. A fabricated zero on a battery gauge is worse than no gauge at all, and every OID DNX reads comes from an official manufacturer MIB. Nothing is guessed.
One screen for the whole estate
The dashboard updates itself. There is no refresh button, because there is nothing to refresh — the server pushes each change as it happens. Below is the interface as it appears, with demonstration values.

Live monitoring
- Three-second polling of state and electrical values, adjustable.
- The screen updates itself as values change — no refreshing.
- Load, battery charge, runtime, input and output voltage and frequency, current, temperature.
- Rolling trend line per unit, so a rising load is visible before it is a problem.
States and alarms
- Normal, On Battery, Warning, Fault, Bypass, Maintenance, Offline — each with an icon and a word, never colour alone.
- Alarms say where they came from: reported by the UPS, or derived by DNX.
- “Reachable but not answering as a UPS” is a distinct state from “offline”, because they send an engineer to two different places.
- Maintenance mode silences a unit you are deliberately working on.
Rooms and estate layout
- Create rooms, assign devices and parallel systems to them, order them as you like.
- Rooms are optional: an unassigned unit is monitored exactly the same way.
- Deleting a room never deletes what is inside it.
Parallel systems and redundancy
- N+1 and N+X redundancy, with the minimum member count enforced.
- Installed capacity from the members' own ratings, with an override when a rating cannot be discovered.
- Values are only summed where summing is valid — a load percentage is recomputed, never averaged into nonsense.
- Phase imbalance across members is reported with its own threshold.
Health and diagnostics
- Per device: which driver was selected and why, which MIB profile matched, the sysObjectID the device reported, transport and credentials status.
- “Read OIDs from device now” asks the unit live and shows every value it returned, object by object.
- Server health: service state, uptime, poll timings and database status.
Users, roles and accountability
- DNX accounts, not Windows accounts: staff reach DNX through a browser, with no RDP and nothing installed.
- Roles built from individual permissions — viewing, editing devices, testing SNMP, seeing credentials, managing users, activating a licence.
- Live sessions listed with address and last activity, revocable at any moment.
- An append-only audit log of who changed what and when, exportable to CSV.
Backup and restore
- Scheduled daily backups with a retention count, plus on-demand backups that are never deleted automatically.
- A backup is one file holding devices, rooms, parallel systems, users and history.
- Restore replaces the database inside a single transaction: it either fully succeeds or changes nothing.
Built for a control room
- NOC mode hides the chrome and enlarges the type for a wall display several metres away.
- Dark and light themes; the dark one is tuned for large panels.
- Filters by condition and by phase type, and a search across the whole estate.
Which UPS devices it monitors
DNX speaks SNMP v1, v2c and v3 to the network management card in the UPS. Every value it reads is declared in an official manufacturer MIB — no OID is ever guessed.

DNX asks the card for its sysObjectID and picks the matching driver. If the card answers but implements a different part of its vendor's tree, DNX falls back to the standard UPS MIB and says so on the Health page, together with the identifier the device actually returned. You are never left guessing why a unit is not being read.
Security, in plain terms
Your data never leaves the building
DNX runs entirely on your server. It does not call home, does not need an internet connection to work, and stores everything in a database on that machine. There is no vendor cloud in the path between you and your UPS.
Credentials are protected on the machine
SNMP v3 passwords and UPS web credentials are encrypted with a key tied to the server itself, and are never written to a log file or returned by the interface. A backup carried to a different machine deliberately cannot decrypt them.
The browser is never trusted
Every action is checked again on the server against the signed-in user's permissions. Hiding a button is a convenience for the operator, never the protection itself. Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2 hashes, and accounts lock out after repeated failures.
Installing it takes one file
- Run the installer One MSI. The .NET runtime and PostgreSQL are inside it, so nothing has to be downloaded or installed first — the server can be entirely offline.
- Answer four questions Your company name, the administrator account to create, the ports to use, and where the database should live. The installer checks the ports and says exactly what is holding one if it is taken.
- Open the dashboard A desktop shortcut and an address other computers on the network can open. HTTPS is configured during installation with a certificate you can replace with your own.
- Add your devices An IP address and the SNMP credentials of the card. DNX identifies the model itself and starts reading.
Licensing that works offline
You license devices, not users
A licence carries a number of single-phase and three-phase units. Staff accounts are unlimited — as many operators, viewers and administrators as you need.
Activated without an internet connection
The server produces a small activation request file. Dar Alnashir returns a signed licence file, which you apply in the interface — it takes effect immediately, with no restart. Nothing contacts a licensing service, ever.
Tied to the server, not to the install
The licence is bound to that machine's hardware. Reinstalling, upgrading or repairing DNX on the same server keeps it valid, and the same file can simply be applied again.

Dar Alnashir Company
Dar Alnashir Company (DNC) works in power protection: supplying, installing and servicing uninterruptible power supplies for data centres, banks, hospitals, factories and offices across Iraq — with Schneider Electric and APC equipment at the centre of that work.
DNX came out of that work. It was written to answer the question an engineer asks on site — what is every unit doing right now, and which one needs attention first — and it is developed, licensed and supported by DNC itself, not resold from anyone.

Questions customers ask
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Installation, activation and daily use all work on an isolated network. The only thing DNX needs to reach is the UPS cards themselves.
What if my UPS is not a Schneider or an APC?
If its card implements the standard UPS MIB (RFC 1628) — most do — DNX monitors it with the generic driver and shows state, load, battery and the standard measurements. Send us the model and we will tell you exactly what it will report.
Do I need to install anything on staff computers?
No. They open the address in a browser and sign in with a DNX account. These are not Windows accounts and give no access to the server itself.
How many devices can one server watch?
The polling engine is built for hundreds of units on a three-second cycle: devices are spread across the window, polled by a bounded worker pool, and a slow or dead unit backs off on its own instead of delaying the others.
What happens to my data if I reinstall?
The database is kept deliberately, so reinstalling or upgrading keeps every device, room, user and reading. Removing the product completely, database included, is a separate and explicit step.
Can it control the UPS — shut it down or switch it?
No. DNX reads. It does not send commands to a UPS, and it cannot switch, shut down or reconfigure one. That is a deliberate boundary: a monitoring system should not be able to drop your load.
